Helen Lucas is the CEO and Founder of Mastica Dérma and is inspired to raise awareness and provide clean skin alternatives. Suffering from Psoriasis, Helen struggled with finding skincare that wouldn't irritate her skin. "I was so self conscious and didn't want to go anywhere. What I put into my body is really important to me. I started to analyse everything to the extent that I would religiously investigate ingredients, only to find that there were countless amounts of chemicals in them that are scientifically proven to cause cancer, asthma, birth defects and allergies. Some products would really irritate my Psoriasis and others would see me breaking out".

Helen adds: "What is easily overlooked in the skincare and cosmetic industry is that what we topically apply to our skin can greatly affect us internally and there aren’t enough restrictions from the government on these products". Helen's mission is to introduce effective and unique products to the skincare industry to improve your skin, raise awareness and help the planet to a better place.
